Fees and Rebates
The Australian Psychological Society currently recommends psychological session fees to be $280 per 45- 60 minute session. We aim to provide accessible and affordable services much lower than the current APS recommendations. Please see the table outlining fees.
Appointments can be facilitated via in person or through online/telehealth platforms. All fees are the same, regardless of the facilitation method.
All appointments are 50 minutes, and are $230.
If you are receiving EMDR therapy, processing sessions require extended sessions of 90 minutes.
Many people will be able to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from their GP, meaning a Medicare rebate ($131.65) can be applied to each session for a maximum of 10 sessions per calendar year. You are able to receive your rebate at the time of payment.
Some private health funds provide reimbursements for psychological services. This differs for each private health insurance, and it is important to contact your private health fund to obtain correct information pertaining to your membership.
We are able to offer reduced fees on a case by case basis.
Cancellations
When clients cancel last minute, it is very difficult to fill that appointment, and often psychologists have clients on waiting lists for appointments. Therefore, if you cancel your appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time, 50% of the fee will be charged to you. If you fail to attend without notice, you will need to pay the full fee. This fee is generally not eligible for any rebates.
